About this deal

I was kinda expecting a summery coconut vanilla scent with a sugary candy twist to it, sadly this is not that. I think it may be the licorice that my skin doesn't like, as I seem to have this same issue with other frags that have a licorice note. This deliciously sweet and unique scent has become really popular since its debut and the distinguishing pink and white striped packaging with a swirl at the top will instantly take you into a lively world of refreshing ice cream, sweet fruit cream and mouthwatering candy floss. Love this its not as good as the original pink sugar wich is a staple in my collection but it is still delicious.

I agree with anneymn, it's not as nice up close, it starts to bother me if I have my wrists near my face, it has a weird rubbery edge and is way too syrupy sweet at that range. I expected a little too much out of this and I am so disappointed now that I've finally got my hands on it. I did get a little bit of that *ping* of a headache when I first smelt it, that usually happens when yellow floral notes hit my skin, I did expect more coconut, and possibly more of the caramel to stand out, but it didn't have that element which I have to admit I was actually glad, but once the sugary/yellow floral notes die down a bit, it is nice, it smells exotic and feminine, and also a bit more of higher end perfume, the monoi starts to come out to play as well as the tiare.

It's actually quite nice that way, stays in the air for around a day and smells more similar to original Pink Sugar which I wouldn't waste in that manner since I like wearing it. But it happened to be a cool day when I tested this, and I feel like the cold makes it 'shrink' and smell 'hard' and screechy. I wanted to try pink sugar because I always hear it being referenced in the fragrance world as bad and good. My mom HATES the original 'Pink Sugar' (because of the burnt sugar note) but loved this at first sniff, so that should tell you something!

I was gradually able to identify the scents from my childhood that it mimicked: a vanilla hand sanitizer from bath and body works, the frosting on a cupcake at a classmate's birthday party, scented strawberry-shaped erasers, a cotton candy lip smacker, and a plastic doll that'd just been taken out of its packaging. I had only ever smelled the hair mist and its just gross burnt to a charcoal crisp caramel to my nose. I deeply regret trying this on my skin, as I now smell like a five-year-old who bought her first body spray with her mommy's two dollars.Easily the best Pink Sugar flanker i personally have tried, and as strong sweet and addictive as the original; but definitely also the most divergent from the pillar. It smells like licorice, cotton candy and Barbie doll (it has a synthetic, powdery, sweet scent that is reminiscent of the soft plastic that doll heads are made from, maybe that's just me though). Then, a delightful heart opens up, which takes hold of our senses, made up of strawberry, lily cotton candy from the valleys, liquorice and red berries. One thing my nose hates about this scent that keeps it from being great for me is the licorice note. In fact, I'll go one step further and say that this needs to be tested not too long before a shower on exfoliation day.

Finally, caramel and vanilla come together to leave us with honey on our lips, and give this fragrance an addictive essence.

Perhaps, I've become accustomed to overly sweet and somewhat juvenile fragrances to the point that Pink Sugar is now child's play. Pink Sugar is the perfect idea for a first adolescent fragrance, thanks to its aroma and everything that its delicate wake transmits to us.

the first few times i wore this the greener notes really threw me off, but since it dries down to a nice vanilla prominent scent i kept wearing it and i am so glad i did! Quickly figured out it is a legendary, early 2000s scent that a lot of people know- love- and/or find offensive. That being said, I still get complimented on this all the time and I will purchase a 30ml just to have. This scent takes 80% of Pink Sugar DNA with a blast of orange and a bit of white florals in the opening. All the online reviews seemed to imply that it was a tooth-ache in a bottle and that most non-gourmand lovers wouldn't like it.

The strong monoi oil and flower notes got way tamer, and the opening now has very sweet tropical flowers and a hint of orange/mandarin coming through. On me I get the cotton candy note, bur not a whole lot, I get more of the sweet creamy caramel and vanilla which is absolutely delicious! There is a few tone to the white florals as there usually is, I dont get much in the way of coconut - however when I checked the notes, the coconut could be the coconut water flavour as a smell.
