About this deal

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

Perhaps it’s because I’m used to an ISOFIX base that is rock-solid I was nervous about using it and stuck to short-haul hops. The umbrella fold chassis comes with a carry handle plus its lightweight and compact for easy storage or transportation. The seat is also nicely padded, and of course colourful, giving your little person plenty to look at whilst they are being strolled around. This all-terrain stroller features a one-hand fold mechanism that allows it to be quicky and easily set up or taken down. If you want one seat parent-facing, it does take a bit more fiddling with knobs to get the buggy ready from folded- enough to be stressful if you've a crying babe and just want to speedily leave the house. There is also a reversible footmuff which can double up as a pushchair liner when the front is zipped off.

Jack also said the base was VERY easy to install into the car and made using the car seat a lot easier.I think it would work well for infrequent travel system users but I think I'd prefer a little more protection for a newborn than the seat unit offers. At first I did feel like I was going to break the hood when pulling it through, but it really was so simple, and doesn't take long at all. With that said, our boys seem to fall asleep within twenty minutes of being out in the pram so we appreciate the one-handed recline that makes it so easy to help them to get comfortable. The company still makes cots to this day, albeit under the hyper-bright colour schemes and a funky ethos which – while not to everyone’s particular tastes – is hard to dislike.

A few people have said I won't need one but my concern is that my dodgy back won't cope on long trips out if Toby needs to pushchair and baby is in the sling. He isn't in a buggy much any more but his little legs still get tired on a long day out and it is important for me that he has a proper seat when he needs a rest. The stroller’s lightweight design makes it easy to transport from place to place without straining your back or arms.

The sleeping baby has become a little table of sorts for my mulled wine, which after over a year of not-drinking has hit me like a sack of potatoes despite being the smallest glass you can imagine, possibly hence my balancing it on a sleeping child above a pale-coloured carpet in the first place.

In that range, though, most doubles seem to be aimed at older tots or twins - I still wanted my newborn to be parent-facing. I’m not one to appreciate the logistics – you’d have to ask Kirsty for that – but she tells me in addition to being super cute it’s also easy to wipe clean of the inevitable baby sick and toddler spills. I want to dress the girls up in every silly-outfit-with-ears that my credit card can cope with, to indulge in ridiculous hats, to kiss little cold noses warm again. Even though it is a narrow double buggy, we are struggling to get it through our 1930s front door/lobby bit as it is at a funny angle.
